A MedFlash membership with a USB device has a suggested list price of $39.95 (includes 1st year membership to the MedFlash Portal) or $24.95 for a 1 year Portal Membership without the device.

The standard swing-out drive is 2.25 in. long and 1 in. wide.
Yes, many people wear their MedFlash that way. Another method would be to keep it on your key ring.
Yes, Internet access is required to update and manage your medical and lifestyle information.
No, only one email address can be used for registration. All Internet providers allow users to have several email accounts. Create a new email address for each subsequent person using a separate MedFlash device.
MedFlash is compatible with Windows 1 XP operating system or higher:
  1. Insert the MedFlash device into an available USB port.
  2. Verify that you are connected to the Internet.
  3. Depending on your system configuration, follow the steps below:
    1. If a dialog appears with "Run MedFlash Software" highlighted, click OK and the program will load or,
    2. If a window appears displaying "Devices with Removable Storage", doubleclick on the MedFlash PHR Device icon, and then doubleclick on the MedFlash icon and the program will load or,
    3. If nothing appears, doubleclick on My Computer and follow the "Devices with Removable Storage" step above.
  4. If there are updates to MedFlash you a screen will appear asking you to install. Click Install.
  5. You may get a message to install a program from Microsoft named .NET 2.0. Click OK and download the software. This can take a few minutes.
  6. When the program loads, fill out the registration form to activate your MedFlash device.
  7. You are now ready to enter your personal health and lifestyle information.
Your MedFlash must be registered to activate your profile and access your personal health and lifestyle information.
No, Connectyx values the privacy of our customers. We do not sell or make available customer information to third parties.
A Mac version is in development. Please check back to MedFlash.com often for the latest information. If you prefer to email us then we will contact you when the application is ready.
Yes, if your doctor's office is willing, and they have access to the Internet, they can perform updates.
No, your information is stored on our secure database. Not only is this safer, but you have access to information at MyMedFlash.com even if you don't have your MedFlash USB device with you.
No, Your health information on the MedFlash portal and device is controlled by you and is not regulated by the HIPAA regulations, but Connectyx does take extra precautions to make sure all of your information is safe and secure by using secure encryption technology during data transfers to/from your MedFlash.
The MedFlash USB device is a minimum of 1 gigabyte (GB) capacity which is more than sufficient to hold all of your health and lifestyle information.
Yes, you can ask your health care provider to provide you with a digital image of your results. MedFlash is designed to accept most document types. After you upload the file(s), you will be able to view them on MyMedFlash.com .
MedFlash is not designed for multiple users. For safety reasons we recommend that each person carry their own MedFlash.
You can enter your prescriptions in the Medical Information Tab under Medications.
Yes, there is a picture of a lock next to each field where you enter data. Click on this to lock or unlock the information. If any of your medical or lifestyle information is important for an emergency responder to know, it is best to leave it unlocked.
There is a text file on the root directory of the USB drive named "MyMedData.txt". They can use any text editor (like Notepad) to access this file and review your personal health record. You should also print out your Emergency ID card that comes with your MedFlash and place it in your wallet. Click on the help image next to your Emergency ID to access it.

Your MedFlash has a one year limited warranty after you complete our online registration process. Please see the pamphlet inside the packaging for more warranty information.
Yes. Please call customer service and we will walk you through a simple process to load your information to a new MedFlash.
We do not recommend that you put your Social Security number on your MedFlash, You do, however, have the option to enter any information you wish.
Personal health record software, such as MedFlash, is generally not reimbursed under most insurance policies. Talk to your health insurance carrier if you are unsure.
MedFlash may be a reimbursable medical expense from your FSA or HSA, however, please consult your FSA or HSA Administrator or your tax advisor.
MedFlash may be a tax deductible medical expense, however, please consult your tax advisor as individual circumstances may vary.
